25th September 2014 - G-Cloud Spend to end of August 2014
Spend for August 2014 has now been included. Highlights are:
Overall spend stats
- Total spend is £270m with £175m so far in 2014 (£87m being in 2013, £7.1m in 2012).
- Spend with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) continues at pace. We expect spend with SMEs for 2014 to be over £130m, compared to £42m in 2013. SME spend to date in 2014 is £99m (56% of total spend).
- Spend in August is £14m. This is lower than expected but will be revised upwards to around £20m when the October data is released.
Spread of the framework
- The number of customers continues to grow strongly - up 25 in August (bringing the total to 576).
- The number of suppliers is growing - up 13 in August (bringing the total to 379).
Forecasts
- We are holding our forecast for 2014 at £250m. Trend data is showing a slowing of growth (previously the framework was expanding by between £1m and £1.5m a month). September data will be important in confirming whether growth in financial terms has reached a plateau.
- The trend figure for spend remains £24m. It topped £20m a month for the first time in April.
