23rd October 2014 - G-Cloud Spend to end of September 2014
Spend for September 2014 has now been included. Highlights are:
Overall spend stats
- Total spend is £314m with £219m so far in 2014 (£87m being in 2013, £7.1m in 2012).
- Spend with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) continues at pace - £120m so far this year. We have increased our forecast of SME spend for 2014 to £160m, compared to £42m in 2013.
- Spend in September is £26m. Expect this to be revised upwards to around £30m when the October data is released.
Spread of the framework
- The number of customers continues to grow strongly - up 21 in September (bringing the total to 597).
- The number of suppliers is growing - up 31 in September (bringing the total to 410).
Forecasts
- We are increasing our forecast for 2014 to £300m (up from £250m). Growth has accelerated and is back to the trend increasing by about £1m a month.
- The trend figure for spend has increased £4m to £28m. It topped £20m a month for the first time in April.
