21 November 2014 - G-Cloud Spend to end of October 2014

Spend for October 2014 has now been included. Highlights are:

Overall spend stats

• Total spend is £345m, with £250m so far in 2014 (£87m in 2013 and £7.1m in 2012).


• Spend with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) continues at pace - £136m so far this year compared with £42m in 2013. We have increased our forecast of SME spend for 2014 to £170m (from £160m last month).


• Spend in September is £26m. Expect this to be revised upwards to around £30m when the November data is released.

Spread of the framework

• The number of customers continues to grow strongly - up 46 in October (bringing the total to 643).


• The number of suppliers is growing - up 18 in October (bringing the total to 428).

Forecasts

• We are increasing our forecast for 2014 to £310m (up from £300m in October and £250m in September). Average monthly spend is increasing by about £1m a month.


• The trend figure for spend has increased £2m to £30m. It topped £20m a month for the first time in April.
